Dosage Guide: 0.3g – 0.8g (Raspberry Red ) This a high-purity, ultra-concentrated synthetic powder known for its exceptional solubility. Because of its high tinting strength, it requires a much lower dosage than standard food colors. A precise dose of 0.5g per 1kg or 1 liter is usually enough to achieve a deep, vibrant raspberry hue.
Common Applications
Dry Mixes and Instant Powders This ideal for powdered drink mixes (like instant juices) and jelly powders. Because it is a concentrated powder, it blends uniformly with sugar and citric acid without clumping. A dosage of 0.6g per kg of dry mix ensures that once the consumer adds water, the beverage instantly transforms into a brilliant, crystal-clear raspberry red.
Industrial Beverages and Syrups In large-scale beverage production, Raspberry color is preferred for its stability against light and acidity. In concentrated syrups, a dosage of 0.8g is used to ensure the color holds its "punch" even after a 1:5 dilution. It provides a cool-toned red that perfectly complements acidic fruit profiles like Falsa, Raspberry, or Mixed Berries.
Confectionery (Hard Boiled Candy) For transparent hard candies, this powder grade is superior because it doesn't cause cloudiness. A tiny amount—roughly 0.4g—added to the sugar melt at the final stage creates a jewel-like finish. It is highly heat-resistant, meaning the color won't degrade or shift toward an orange tint when exposed to the high temperatures ($140°C$ - $150°C$) required for candy making.
Extruded Snacks and Coatings In the snack industry, Raspberry color is used in the slurries for coating sweet puffed snacks or "cereals." A dosage of 0.7g per kg of coating slurry provides a uniform, eye-catching red that doesn't rub off easily. Its "SS" (Super Strength) nature means you use less bulk powder, which prevents the color from affecting the texture or taste of the final product.
