Dosage Guide: 0.5ml - 1.0ml (Black Tea Flavor)
Black tea flavor is a deep, malty, and slightly astringent concentrate. Using a dosage of 0.8ml per 1kg of food or 1 liter of liquid is the standard industry recommendation. This provides a robust "fresh-brewed" taste that is strong enough to stand up to sugar and dairy.
Common Applications
Ready-to-Drink Beverages The most common use is creating instant iced teas or "Sweet Tea" by mixing 0.8ml into a liter of water. It is also the perfect base for Milk Tea (Boba style), where the flavor needs to be concentrated enough so it doesn't get diluted by milk or cream. You can also add 1ml to a pitcher of lemonade to create an "Arnold Palmer" style mocktail.
Bakery and Pastries Black tea flavor adds a sophisticated, earthy note to baked goods. Use 0.8ml in sponge cakes, muffins, or tea cookies (like Earl Grey style cookies). It pairs exceptionally well with chocolate; adding 0.5ml to a chocolate cake batter or brownie mix deepens the cocoa flavor and adds a gourmet "malty" complexity.
Confectionery In candy making, 0.8ml can be used to create tea-infused truffles, hard candies, or clear jellies. The slightly bitter notes of the tea extract help balance very sweet caramel or white chocolate fillings.
